ELMOS Semiconductor AG acquired majority share holding in MOS
The cooperation with ELMOS SEMICONDUCTOR AG will boost the design expertise and capacity of MOS. In addition, MOS gains access to sub-micron and high voltage, high current technologies. ELMOS specializes in the design and manufacturing of high performance CMOS mixed signal integrated circuits with high voltage and high current capabilities. Their annual turnover is in excess of 100 Million EUROS.
The main design and manufacturing facilities are located in Dortmund, Germany. Most integrated circuits designed and produced at ELMOS are for the automotive industry. Applications include airbag sensors, engine management systems, ABS, environmental sensors and many more. Through MOS, ELMOS achieves a closer relationship with their already existing South African customers and better access to the local market.
